So school started Tuesday. I'm taking three AP courses--shouldn't have done that. I have a LOT of homework, but so far I'm doing all right with managing everything. We'll see how long that lasts, though.

Anyways, if for some reason I don't get around to doing a weekly feature like I plan on doing, I apologize, and I'll get to it ASAP.

On with the feature! I changed the format this time, so let me know what you think of it! Better or worse?

And if you like what you see, don't tell me, tell the artists themselves!

Life Is No BoundaryLife is no boundary.
So young, we were when life began.
For each individual on this earth;
For you,
The promise is held.
Wrapped in a passionate embrace,
With eternity.
Though the overcast,
Overcasts your beauty,
We know it is still there,
Hiding,
Behind a thin veil,
Ready to once again prove the true beauty.
And age comes, and it grows on us,
But on you, it will come,
And it will fail.
Age will try its hand at thwarting your crimson complexion,
But through its attempts,
Age will never succeed,
Your beauty throughout!
Your loving heart will worry,
And your body will suffer harsh consequences,
But never will you lose your beauty,
Never will that inner being of you,
Trapped by your physical shell,
Ever be truly damaged.
The world was harsh when you were brought to us;
An angel in amongst the thorns.
You belong not to the realms of death,
To earth,
You belong in the heavens,
Leading the angels as they march the golden streets;
You belong above all men and women,
Because you are beauty.

Like Pulling TeethPeople have a certain look when they would say things they didn’t mean. There is a certain way that they gasp and sit back as if their own words had burned their tongues. I liked to think it was like watching a tooth suddenly being pulled. The words would tumble, fall, clamber from their mouths in a rush of hate and then their eyes would pop, their mouths would cave and pucker. Their hard phrases come out with a jerk of invisible string and somewhere a door slams.
The door was never really there, but in my mind I could hear it slam whenever we spoke. I liked to have a reason for the silence to come so suddenly. Whenever I heard it I knew that the conversation was over, that reaching out and grasping your hand would be ignored. The door had closed and I was left with a hole in my teeth and the fact I missed you when you were gone.
I think a few times I imagined if I sat outside it, a glass pressed to my ear pressed to the door I could hear something but I never knew what I was wait

it is not cold nor barren herei. twenty years and a lifetime ago i sat on the edge of a pier and scraped my fingernails into warped wooden planks and let the guppies and piranhas lick at my feet. behind me was a man with a bowler hat and too many hiccups; he was bloated and blue and very dead, and his lips were white and cracked where his tongue followed paths like those the dragonflies created in every buzzing freefall. he told me the meaning of life, told me why gerbils sometimes eat their offspring and why the world sagged with the weight of itself, but all i heard was the water bubble from his lips, thick and muddy from deep in his lungs.
ii.
six years and two months ago the universe cracked open and light poured from your mouth as you told stories of places that didn't exist, of people you've never met, never will meet, that shape the world you live in. you took to the sky and took up a language and told anyone who didn't ask that this was just the way you were built and you meant no harm so cryi

GraverhymeI took two steps toward the stones
the wind shrieked through a tree
all the warmth had been abandoned
a dream had captured me.
Between the old graves stood a new one
it was white, straight and fresh
On which your name could be noticed
letters darker than your flesh.
It brought me back to just one summer
when every girl took my eye
but never could have figured
how quickly you would die
I stood there with the fallen
mourning through the night
with shame filling up my cheekbones
because I'd lost you from my sight.
